I’m a sucker for accordion bands\, but when they’ve got a truly unusual female voice like Anne De Lima’s\, I’m spoilt indeed.” ​Gig UK Magazine \nThe Uncertainty of Passion was formed by Jackie Doe together with vocalist Anne De Lima\, former singer in the Geisha Girls. Jackie’s original compositions reflect her unique style\, influenced by her love of the accordion\, her classical upbringing and her enthusiasm for folk\, French and Tango music. Jackie’s compositions combine strong melodic lines with heartfelt lyrics reflecting scenarios of everyday life. \nThe band made a short film for Meridian TV featuring Jackie’s song The Dance of Love sung by Anne De Lima with Les Calvert of Mungo Jerry fame on bass and Simon Spratley of Nashville Teens on keyboard. ​The “Dance of Love” was filmed by Mark Chapman on location in London and Hungerford and stars the famous tango dancers Mina and Giraldo.

DESCRIPTION:Stuart Henderson and Simon Price host a monthly jazz session at The Retreat pub in Reading. They have guests every month at this very popular jazz gig. \nExpect great jazz music with talented guests; what better way to spend your Sunday afternoon? \nThis event is on the last Sunday of every month\, starting at 15.00. \nStuart Henderson\n\nFrom 1983 – 2005 Stuart was principal trumpet of The Scots Guards Band in Her Majesty’s Household Division. During this period he played many times for the Royal Family and at State occasions all over the world. Since leaving the services Stuart has become a fixture on the UK jazz scene appearing with many of the countries finest jazz musicians. \n\n\nHe leads various small groups and is musical director of the Remix Jazz Orchestra. He has played at many jazz festivals including Edinburgh\, Glasgow and Brecon. Recording credits include dance labels “Nanny Tango”\, “Soul Purpose” and “Greenfly”\, and artistic collaborations with Tongues of Fire\, Macnas and Mark Anderson “Dark Spark”. His commercial work includes the Rebecca Poole quartet\, the String of Pearls\, Joe Loss\, The Showbiz Pops Orchestra and Nick Heyward.
